The programme trains engineers in supporting the vendor’s backup and disaster
recovery solutions, and will now feature a greater choice of locations and
webinars. The overhaul comes after problems with the delivery of training and
its accessibility to partners.
Acronis
has more than 300 partners in the UK and it insists they will benefit from the
changes made to the programme, which was initially piloted in August.
“The training programme is going to add value to partners as they will be in a
better position to service the solution,” said Kevin Moreau, UK and Ireland
general manager at Acronis. “It will improve their chances of winning more
contracts and will develop their business.
“We are happy with the number of resellers we have, but want to recruit more in
the channel to assist our growth, although we have yet to decide on an exact
figure.”
Moreau added that the programme would give partners access to Acronis channel
managers and post-sales support, and will be free for engineers to attend.
“We are committed to supporting our certified partners and will be working
closer with them to improve the services they provide.”
David Harrison, IT manager at Acronis partner
WSK
Solutions, said: “The training is going to help our company and will provide
us with more expertise when supporting our clients.
“Acronis is very ambitious. Recruiting more partners will put them in a stronger
position in the market,
which
will result in more business for us.”
