Cater: The firm hopes to extend geographical coverage, and double the business of partners.

Iron Mountain Digital debuts partner scheme

Recovery software vendor aims to double business for its channel partner network

Written by kayleigh bateman

Recovery software and services vendor Iron Mountain Digital has formalised its global partner programme to extend its geographic reach and double the amount of business generated for partners.

The two-tier scheme offers four primary categories of partnership: managed services provider; hosting; VAR; and technology partners.

Nick Cater, head of northern Europe at Iron Mountain Digital, said: “Iron Mountain Digital has had a partner programme for some time, but it is being formalised with additional investments and double the resources.”

Cater explained that Iron Mountain Digital has about 200 partners globally, 35 to 40 of which are based in the UK. “Iron Mountain Digital would like to double the business of its partners and gain larger geographical coverage,” he said.

Cater said: “Partners are offered both software and services for flexibility on how they deliver to customers. The SME market especially benefits from the services side, as a smaller business might not have the in-house resources available to it.”

Alex Phippen, channel manager at Iron Mountain Digital, said: “Our products are not repackaged enterprise products; they are designed with the SME in mind. The channel has better relationships with SMEs.”

Brett Raynes, chief executive of Iron Mountain Digital distribution partner, Backup Direct, said: “Backup Direct performs backup and disaster recovery for businesses, and Iron Mountain Digital’s technologies form the core of that service. Backup Direct can benefit from its credibility.”
