Hammer and Computacenter opt for facelift

Out with old, in with the new, as shiny new logos unveiled

Written by Kayleigh Bateman

Two of the channel’s mainstays, storage distributor Hammer and corporate VAR Computacenter, have given their corporate images a facelift as 2008 gets into full swing.

Hammer has unveiled a new logo, which now consists of three triangles to represent three themes from the distributor. Firstly, the linked triangles reflect Hammer’s relationships with its partners; secondly the inward motion of the triangle is supposed to represent fulfilling end users’ needs and lastly, the fact that the arrows point to the right signifies companies working together in growing their businesses.

James Ward, managing director of Hammer, said: “Hammer is enjoying continued success and is working closely with more and more reseller partners.”

“2007 saw great achievements for us, not just financially but also through new and exclusive vendor partnerships, European expansions, industry awards, the launch of Hammer Finance, and innovative environmental progression,” he added.

Corporate VAR Computacenter has also undergone an image change, unveiling a new corporate logo last week.

The firm said the re-brand reflected a 'common set of brand values and a refreshed visual identity' to complement its mission to 'deliver IT services and solutions that help customers achieve their goals.’

Mike Norris, Computacenter’s chief executive officer, comments: “In a competitive industry such as IT, we need to be clear on the kind of organisation we are and the value we bring to our customers. The brand rejuvenation provides a more unified view of what we do and what we stand for”.
