Cisco partner remains bullish

Cisco Gold partner feeling confident for the future despite staff departures

Written by Sam Trendall

Cisco Gold partner Nscglobal has maintained it is in good shape despite a recent boardroom shake-up and some high-profile departures.

Stuart McCarthy, managing director for global sales, resigned from his position in February, although he remains at the firm and will now focus on Nscglobal’s support service organisation.

Marketing director Geraint Davies resigned a month later and Clinton Mills has also recently left the firm to join rival Cisco Gold partner Minx as sales director.

Julian Laister has been at Nscglobal for three months and has taken over Davies’ position.

“Stuart just had a desire to change focus. For Geraint, it was a personal decision,” he said.

Former Nscglobal managing director Mohammed Yaseen was jailed for fraud in 2001 and Nscglobal declined to comment on whether he had returned to work at the company.

Laister indicated Nscglobal staff numbers are higher than ever, approaching 200. He also claimed the company is enjoying its most successful year in terms of profit and turnover and is looking to acquire.

“We are looking for companies similar to ourselves. When we find firms that fit the bill then we will consider an acquisition.”
