Interface owner terminates sale talks

Fayrewood ends talks with North Atlantic Value and issues positive trading update for Interface

Written by Doug Woodburn

The owner of distributor Interface Solutions has terminated sale talks with investment firm North Atlantic Value.

Fayrewood announced in November that it was in discussions which may or may not lead to an offer for the entire company (CRN, 30 November). Following the recent disposal of overseas arms, UK IBM and Lenovo distributor Interface is Fayrewood’s sole trading business.

Fayrewood said in a statement that it would “continue exploring methods of returning the maximum amount of capital to shareholders in the most tax efficient, timely and cost effective manner that is practical”.

It added: “Trading at Interface Solutions, continues to improve under the direction of Keith Negal who was appointed Managing Director in January 2007 and whilst it is still very early in the year, the Board expects the results for that business to be in line with their expectations.”
