Hammer nails ATP

Storage distributor announces third vendor signing of 2008 in the form of PC memory vendor ATP

Written by Kayleigh Bateman

Storage distributor Hammer has announced the signing of PC memory vendor ATP, to distribute its portfolio throughout Europe via its UK, Ireland and Nordics offices.

ATP becomes the distributor’s third vendor signing so far this year.

James Ward, managing director of Hammer, said: “ATP’s excellence in the server memory arena and its rugged flash offerings will satisfy increasing demands for memory performance and reliability.

“Hammer’s industrial customers in particular will now benefit from ultimate-reliability flash products and fixed Bill of Materials (BOM) for module consistency.”

The range includes embedded SATA2 models, industrial DRAM solutions, and fully-encapsulated flash cards, which are waterproof, rugged and aimed at industrial and mission-critical applications.

Mark Burnett, area sales manager UK and Ireland at ATP, said Hammer is a good fit as a distributor for ATP.

“Hammer’s focus and knowledge is ideal for helping us reach customers in both commercial and industrial markets,” said Burnett.

Steve Cowley, storage products sales manager at Hammer, said: “By offering these specialised products, Hammer is extending its portfolio into markets requiring industrial appliances, high-class server memory solutions, and high-standard mission-critical memory products, through a vendor which parallels our own company’s ethos.”
