Astaro lures resellers with large discount

Resellers can obtain an 85 per cent discount on vendor’s new web gateway range until the end of June

Written by Doug Woodburn

Vendor Astaro is offering resellers 85 per cent off its web gateway range, in what it has termed its biggest ever new product promotion for the channel.

The ‘Kick Start programme’ is designed to enable resellers to easily enter the web security market or enhance their product offering.

Running until the end of June, the programme applies to the 1000, 2000, 3000 and 4000 models in the new Astaro Web Gateway (AWG) range - recently unveiled at Infosecurity 2008.

“Any reseller adding the AWG product range to its portfolio this month will be able to offer the best web security deal to its customers, while retaining significant margin,” said Arne Klein, vice president of Global Marketing at Astaro.

Astaro’s AWG appliance features malware detection and removal, instant messaging and peer 2 peer application control, URL filtering, dual anti-virus scanning and bandwidth management.

Any reseller that orders AWG appliances during the promotional period will also net free training and marketing tools.
