Neverfail widens net

Resellers can now punt the vendor’s business continuity and disaster recovery to a wider range of mobile data users

Neverfail, which offers business continuity services to companies running applications on Blackberries, is to extend the service to cover a wider range of mobile data users.

Any competent reseller could now resell Neverfail’s business continuity and disaster recovery services, regardless of the handsets used, the applications they run or the mobile carrier.

“We have got a whole range of products which resellers can offer to customers,” explained Andrew Barnes, Neverfail’s senior vice president of corporate development. “Partners could sell our software or even consider starting up their own managed service.”

Barnes explained how Neverfail’s own track record exemplifies the demand for business continuity services.

Neverfail offers a suite of software that guarantees continuous service for mobile users, he explained. The software runs on a server, and ensures that any application available to mobile users, such as Lotus Domino, is simultaneously duplicated. So even if one server goes down, or a comms link is out of action, the mobile workforce will be assured continuous service. Which is worth paying for, since many sales forces are rendered completely impotent without their next vital feed of customer information.

Neverfail itself struck gold with its best customer, Vodafone. “Vodafone uses Blackberries, and has around 5,000 users. Initially they came to us to help keep their own users happy. But now they have seen the value of offering it as a service to their own clients,” said Barnes.
