Xploite ramps up services

Buy-and-build reseller posts upbeat interim results as services clamber to 46 per cent of sales

Written by Doug Woodburn

IBM reseller Xploite claims services now generate almost half its overall revenues as it announced a dramatic improvement in its bottom line in its interim results.

The managed services specialist, which last year acquired Posetiv, Anix, Red Squared and Itheon, saw revenues more than quadruple year-on-year in the six months to 30 April to £22.5m

Adjusted pre-tax profits hit £0.7m, compared to a £0.5m loss in the same period last year.

Ian Smith, chief executive of Xploite, said: “'The businesses we acquired last year are already showing good returns as our strategy of selective acquisitions followed by rapid integration is working well.

'The rapid integration of the three businesses under the Anix brand has seen a
substantial step up in our managed services business which has resulted in a
notable increase in such recurring revenues - now some 46 per cent of Anix's revenues.”
