Communigate hunts public sector VARs

Unified communications vendor wants to build ties with mid-sized resellers serving government sector and ISPs

Written by Sam Trendall

Unified communications (UC) vendor Communigate wants to sign up 10 UK integrators to increase its presence in the enterprise market.

Communigate entered the UK channel last year and now aims to sign up bigger partners to win more business from ISPs and larger enterprises.

UK managing director Simon Paton said he was looking for VARs with a turnover of between £20m and £30m with established relationships with at least one major vendor.

"We are very strong in education. We will be focusing on Tier 2 ISPs and also on government and looking at resellers who have strength in those areas," said Paton.

He also revealed that recent recruit Mary Wilson would carry out her duties as worldwide partner manager from a European base.
