Dexterra unveils IBM veteran as new boss

Business mobility software vendor appoints Big Blue services guru to chief executive post

Written by Sam Trendall

Business mobility software vendor Dexterra has unveiled former IBM executive Michael Liebow as its new chief executive.

Liebow served Big Blue for more than a decade, most recently as vice president of global services. Prior to that, he held a number of management roles in the technology, communications, media and entertainment industries. He has been tasked with accelerating uptake of Dexterra’s products through its channel partners.

Previous chief executive Rob Loughan will stay on as chairman of the board and Dexterra indicated it expected him to continue to play an important role in the business.

Loughan said: "Liebow is an excellent addition to the Dexterra team. We will benefit immensely from his significant experience and proven track record of success. More than ever, Dexterra's growth opportunities abound as a result of our strong product innovation and global partner ecosystem. Michael's executive leadership at aligning business and technology will help ensure we harness this potential and fully realise the growth opportunities before us."

Liebow added: “I am excited to help Dexterra bring new capabilities to customers faced with the challenge of extending business processes to the mobile worker. This is a great opportunity to play a lead role in a company that possesses needed innovation to help businesses of all sizes accelerate adoption of mobile technology. I look forward to working closely with Rob and the entire Dexterra team, our partners and customers.”
