Wick Hill leads the way for ArcSight in UK push

The distributor will recruit a number of resellers to help ArcSight dominate the market over rivals

Written by Sara Yirrell

Wick Hill has become the first UK distributor for security and compliance management software vendor ArcSight.
Under the terms of the deal, Wick Hill will be tasked with recruiting resellers to help the vendor grab market share from competitors.

ArcSight’s products are able to discover critical threats to organisations in real time and help firms stay on top of compliance issues.

Ian Kilpatrick, chairman of the Wick Hill Group, said: “ArcSight is ahead of the competition in the market and we have already seen significant channel interest.”

The distributor will be looking for a variety of partners for ArcSight.

Steve Durkin, regional channel manager at ArcSight, said the US vendor picked Wick Hill for its expertise in the market.
“Wick Hill is a very technically competent distributor and is a market-making company; that is why we decided to partner with it,” he said. “We need the marketing expertise that Wick Hill can offer.”

Durkin added that the vendor’s products would also appeal to Oracle resellers, and said the vendor is keen to focus on quality and recruit a small number of focused resellers.
