Fusion comes together with Nimans

Cabling specialist signs up Manchester-based telecoms distributor

Written by Sam Trendall

Structured cabling specialist Fusion has signed up telecoms distributor Nimans to help build its UK customer base.

The Fusion product line includes Category 5e and Category 6 cabling, as well as trunking offerings, telephone components and chrome faceplates. Nimans' installation products business manager Dominique Wilson claimed she was impressed by many of the products' features.

Wilson drew attention to the fact that the cabling is snag-free, metre marked and comes in a range of colours. She also indicated low-smoke, shielded, external and stranded varieties were available and all were back by a 25-year warranty.

She said: “Fusion cabling is renowned for its quality throughout the manufacturing process. Innovative anti-tear cable boxes feature double thickness cardboard and plastic reinforced handles. Many cable boxes struggle in real life situations, such as being loaded and unloaded from the van a few times, taken up flights of stairs and stacked on top of each other.

"Pick up a box of cable and the handle rips with some brands. Stack a few boxes and the lower ones collapse. It is a story installers know only too well but they do not have to put up with it any longer."

Wilson claimed the Fusion products were an ideal addition to Nimans' installation portfolio and the distributor has installed a display of them at the Trade Counter of its headquarters.

Fusion's business manager Paul Britain added: “Nimans is a leading distributor in our industry and we are delighted to announce their appointment as an official Fusion distributor. This means that Fusion products are now available to Nimans’ extensive customer base, complementing perfectly our existing distribution arrangements.”
