Dialcom signs up channel stalwart

Burgess steps into sales director role

Written by Nick Booth

Videoconferencing vendor Dialcom has appointed channel veteran Phil Burgess as sales director, as it concentrates on its channel sales expansion.

Bob Johnson, chief operating officer of Dialcom, said: “The problem for many vendors in the unified collaboration market is that they have grown by acquisition.”

Spontania, Dialcom’s offering, is by contrast the integrated work of one author. This makes it a more profitable technology to work with, Johnson argued.

“Resellers will be able to get their customers installed and up and running in a day,” he said.

Burgess promised his channel experience would make for a sympathetic channel policy. “I am looking forward to bringing the partners on, whether they are smaller players or big systems integrators,” he said.
