Bell Micro signs with Clusterscale

Distributor partners with load balancing vendor to explore new market opportunities

Written by Kayleigh Bateman

Distributor Bell Micro has signed load balancing, open source and database clustering vendor ClusterScale to plug a gap in the market.

Bell Micro will be supplying the entire ClusterScale range, including the database mirror device, ClusterMirror, to its reseller base.

Ed Callacher, networking divisional manager for Bell Micro, said: “We are very happy to have signed this deal with ClusterScale, as we feel there is a real gap in the market for their products.

“We are also very excited about the ClusterMirror product line, as the issue of storage is increasingly critical for many of our customers.”

Malcolm Turnbull, managing director of ClusterScale, said: “As all our technology is based on Dell hardware, we have a support network in place that can handle global distribution.

“Knowing that Bell Micro has the internal expertise to ensure that this level of service is maintained is a real comfort.”

Other solutions from ClusterScale include the virtual load balancing appliance, ClusterLoad ESX VA and its traditional range of load balancers the ClusterLoad Pegasys and ClusterLoad Nemasys.

Stephen Wilde, sales director at ClusterScale, said: “We aim to be a 100 percent channel focused, unlike our sister organisation loadbalancer.org, which runs a direct sales model - so this is a big step to achieving this goal.”
