Vendor will certify and label partner solutions that integrate with its Business One application

Written by Kayleigh Bateman

Business applications vendor SAP has announced its Enabled by SAP Business One designation as an expansion to its solution partner programme.

SAP said the launch will allow it to certify and label partner solutions that tightly integrate into its Business One application. Business One is aimed at small businesses that have outgrown their accounting-only systems and are looking for a single system to manage their entire business.

To achieve the designation the integration with Business One must be technology certified by the SAP Integration and Certification Centre.

As well as meeting additional criteria set by SAP, the solution must also pass a testing process in SAP’s labs alongside Business One versions and patches to ensure interoperability.

Niels Stenfeldt, senior vice president for SAP Business One, said: “Since we piloted the industry solution program in early 2008, we have seen a tremendous demand for such solutions around the world not only from our solution partners, but our resellers and customers alike.”

Announced at Systems 2008 conference, in Munich this week, 22 solutions have already completed SAP’s Enabled by SAP Business One process.

The solutions are currently available for 18 industries in 20 countries including Brazil, Canada, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.
