Sysec ends whitelisting wait

Security reseller signs partnership with Bit9

Written by Kayleigh Bateman

Reseller Sysec has signed vendor Bit9, ending its wait for the right partner with whom to take the leap into the whitelisting market.

Through the partnership, the VAR can offer its customer base the ability to whitelist approved software and devices, while preventing all unauthorised and unlicensed software.

Andy Bryars, sales director at Sysec, said: “We have been waiting for a market leader to emerge from this interesting market space.

“With the value of credit card fraud now exceeding £3.3bn a year, whitelisting technology such as Bit9 is increasingly an essential component of any organisation’s information security infrastructure as clients seek a new more dependable approach to securing networks, users and information.”

Bit9 also enables companies to demonstrate compliance with regulations such as PCI DSS for secure payments through card transactions. Retailers such as Marks & Spencer and Associated British Foods are currently using Bit9 Parity on their retail systems.

Jim Clemens, vice president of worldwide sales at Bit9, said: “We are excited to partner with a reseller with such deep security expertise to help grow demand for security solutions that incorporate Bit9 whitelisting and PCC DSI compliance.”
