Storage iSCSI SAN management vendor adds promotion to channel programme

iSCSI SAN management software for virtualised server environments vendor StorMagic has tweaked its channel partner programme to attract more reseller and system integrators in the VMware community.

The programme now allows its partners to have access to a promo key which their customers can use to download a free copy of the StorMagic SvSAN with no expiry date and management of up to 2TB of data.

The StorMagic SvSAN is a virtual storage appliance which enables the deployment of high-availability shared storage for VMware environments, for less than £1,400.

Mike Stolz, vice president of marketing at StorMagic, said: “This programme provides our channel partners with disruptive technology tools coupled with an attractive offer that immediately gives them ‘hot’ customer leads that they can follow up.

“Once the customer downloads the free, full-feature base software, the reseller knows that there is a need for this software and a strong possibility for an upgrade path to additional features and services.”

StorMagic channel partners will also benefit from two levels of membership, Preferred and Premier, each offering discounts as well as qualified sales generation and lead distribution to partners.

The vendor’s StorMagic SvSAN works with VMware vCenter Server to enable administrators to manage datastores, the StorMagic iSCSI SAN, and the internal RAID controller from one interface.

Manoj Nayee, managing director at Boston, said: "This is a win-win opportunity. The free copy of SvSAN allows end users to enjoy the benefits of a user-friendly virtual SAN, while it gives the channel the chance to target these prospects with the product’s add-on features, allowing us to offer an even more appealing shared storage solution.”
