Storage giant NetApp is set to overhaul its entire partner programme, starting with a name change from the VIP Programme to the NetApp Partner Programme.
Additions to the scheme include the NetApp Field Portal for its partners to communicate with NetApp’s sales force, Campaign Express for extra marketing resources, and enhancements to the GetSuccessful Programme.
Julie Parrish, vice president of worldwide channel sales at NetApp, said: “We want to diversify our pathways. The name change ensures that all partners are under one umbrella many thought the VIP Programme was a higher partner status. NetApp wanted to ensure the right processes were in place to capture partners that want to move into new trends such as hosting.”
Paul Sweeney, managing director of NetApp Gold partner ANS, said: “Too much terminology can be confusing, so it is good to see NetApp simplifying the overall programme with levels of specialisation underneath it.”
Last week NetApp signed distributor DNS Arrow as a NetApp Authorised Professional Service Partner (APSP) and Contracted Delivery Partner (CDP) in EMEA.
