ScanSafe signs up “influential” Vistorm

SaaS security vendor adds EDS-owned outfit to reseller roster

Written by Doug Woodburn

Security VAR Vistorm has earmarked SaaS security as a growth hotspot after signing a partnership agreement with vendor ScanSafe.

ScanSafe will form a core part of Vistorm's SaaS web security service. The pair have already won a contract with public-private partnership Liverpool Direct Limited.

ScanSafe processes more than 20 billion web requests and 200 million blocks each month for customers in more than 100 countries.

Dan Turner, chief technology officer at Vistorm, said: “SaaS security services are a strategic priority area for Vistorm, and the addition of ScanSafe’s technology will allow us to excel in this industry.

“Recently we have seen a growing customer demand for SaaS web security and we are delighted that we can add ScanSafe to our portfolio.”

Vistorm was bought by EDS in April 2008 and EDS was subsequently acquired by HP.

Eldar Tuvey, chief executive at ScanSafe, said he was excited to be working with one of the industry’s “largest and most influential resellers”.

“Now is the time to leverage exposure through new partners as SaaS continues to gain momentum in this exploding market,” he said.
