Distributor to highlight GCSx CoCo compliance opportunities at upcoming reseller event

Compliance will continue to be a cash cow for the security channel over the coming months, according to distributor Vigil Software.

Vigil expects up to 100 individuals from 15 resellers to attend its Security Showcase in London next month, where seven of its vendors will exhibit technology. This includes LogRhythm, M86 and Safend.

Alex Teh, commercial director at Vigil, said compliance with regulations such as GCSx CoCo would be a theme.

“GCSs CoCo compliance has been a major driver for Vigil vendors this year,” he said. “We are on target to do more than $2m (£1.25m) [worth of business] with LogRhythm this year and more than 70 per cent of this is down to GCSx CoCo compliance.”

Vigil also plans to use the seminar to announce its entrance into the single sign-on and ID and access management market.

Vigil saw turnover rise 50 per cent annually in its fiscal first half to just over £3m and Teh said the distributor is on course to beat its annual target of £6.5m.

“This and next quarter are our strongest because our strongest market is the public sector,” he said.
