Feldman: Paul Edgeley's appointment means we can start to become a serious player

Former Lynx boss re-emerges in channel

Paul Edgeley takes on role at aggressive managed service provider The Internet Group

Written by Doug Woodburn

The former boss of Lynx has bounced back into the channel at bullish managed service provider The Internet Group (TIG).

Paul Edgeley left BT Lynx in February 18 months after Cisco Gold partner Lynx was acquired by BT.

He has now begun work as a consultant for Dell Certified partner TIG, where he will work for about five days a month. The London-based firm boasts a turnover of £7m and recently embarked on a drive to buy up struggling competitors in its local area.

TIG director Mitchell Feldman told CRN: “This is the most exciting time in our history as Paul can take us into new territories. This means we can start to become a serious player in the market.”

Edgeley said: “Since leaving BT Lynx, I have been presented with numerous interesting propositions and I have had to be very selective in choosing opportunities that present themselves as businesses of the future.

“I quickly recognised that this is a company punching below its weight and my intention is to use my experience and knowledge to take it to the next level and beyond.”

Edgeley took the helm at Lynx in 1999 and boasts 30 years’ industry experience. He was managing director of the VAR when it was acquired by BT in October 2007 and was appointed to an M&A role in June 2008.
