Distribution giant Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions (ECS) has won exclusive UK distribution rights for EMC Data Domain’s range of deduplication storage products.

The partnership, which also includes North America, marks Arrow ECS out as the only distributor in the UK to carry EMC Data Domain products.

Shane Jackson, senior director of product marketing at EMC Data Domain, said: “Arrow ECS has a record of providing outstanding support to storage resellers through education, training and marketing support.”

“In addition, the Arrow ECS line card includes many EMC Data Domain technology partners, which gives resellers the ability to confidently assemble and deploy best-of-breed solutions.”

The Data Domain range of deduplication storage products, which help reduce the amount of disk storage needed to retain data, will be a welcome addition to its portfolio, claimed Arrow.

“Adding EMC’s Data Domain solutions to our portfolio will improve the ability of our resellers to more effectively address their customers’ storage-related pain points,” said Andy Bryant, president of Arrow ECS.
