Ingram Micro suffers break-in

Promotional goods were taken from distributor’s Milton Keynes head office on Tuesday morning

Written by Doug Woodburn

Ingram Micro’s UK head office was the subject of a burglary earlier this week, local police have confirmed.

Criminals gained entry to the distributor’s Milton Keynes premises early on Tuesday morning by smashing a large window, then took a range of promotional goods.

The crime was logged at 1.40am.

At least some of the goods stolen are believed to have been part of a promotional display Ingram was running with vendor Logitech.

A representative for Thames Valley Police confirmed that two games consoles, a television, a computer hard drive and some cables were among the goods taken.

“We are looking at CCTV footage and have done house-to-house enquiries,” the representative added. “It is very early days and there are no suspects as yet.”

Cathi Low, value business director at Ingram Micro UK, said: “We did have a break-in at our Milton Keynes facility. We're cooperating with the local police, and given that an investigation is ongoing, we can't disclose any more details at this time.”

If anyone has information on the burglary they can contact Thames Valley Police on 0845 8 505 505.
