Wood to make Resolutions in channel return

Symantec channel chief Helen Wood to oversee EMEA expansion of SaaS firm Resolutions MSP

Written by Caroline Donnelly

Software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider Resolutions MSP has enlisted former Symantec UK channel boss Helen Wood to oversee its channel expansion plans across EMEA.

The company specialises in the delivery of anti-virus and data backup services using the SaaS model, to which its channel partners then resell access.

Wood, who departed the security giant earlier this year, said she plans to use the skills gained from her time heading up the channel operations at both Symantec and Computer Associates to drive Resolutions’ indirect sales growth.

“Resolutions MSP is dedicated to bringing a quality, tried-and-tested technology to EMEA, which has a 10-year track record in the US,” she said.

“Not only does it cut through all the confusion and hype around SaaS, but it enables the channel partner to enter into this market with ease.”

The company has recently won support for its EMEA expansion plans from the government’s UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) Global Entrepreneur programme.

Derek Goodwin, head of UKTI ’s Global Entrepreneur programme, said: “We are delighted to have the company in the Global Entrepreneur Programme and will be providing key strategic assistance to help the company's expansion across Europe, Middle East and Africa from its UK headquarters."
