Malcolm Tuck back in Kaspersky UK hotseat

Anti-virus firm's country head returns less than a year after leaving during restructure

Malcolm Tuck has returned to the post of Kaspersky Lab's UK boss, less than a year after parting ways with the security vendor.

Tuck left the anti-virus firm in March 2011 as part of a restructure. He had joined from rival Symantec in 2008, replacing Svetlana Ivanova in the UK hotseat.

Kaspersky confirmed to ChannelWeb that, as of 1 February, Tuck will assume the role of general manager for the UK. He takes on overall responsibility for the UK sales operation and developing the business in this country. He will report to European president Ilijana Vavan.

In its last available accounts, for the 12 months to 31 December 2010, Kaspersky Lab UK saw sales grow almost 50 per cent to €224.5m (£192.8m), while operating profit jumped more than 75 per cent to €42.3m.
