VIP UK appoints two new board members following year of growth

Elliot Hodgeon and Elanza Butters will both join the distributor's board

PC component distributor VIP has announced two new appointments to its board of directors in Elliott Hodgeon as sales director and Elanza Butters as e-commerce and marketing director.

Hodgeon will provide "energetic and innovative leadership" to the company's expanding sales team, it says, while Butters will "drive forward investment in digital platforms and customer led infrastructure".

"I appreciate the board's confidence in me, and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to lead such a great team," Hodgeon said.

"VIP is a fantastic company, with great people and it has been a pleasure to be a part of the huge success we have seen in recent years. I look forward to expanding this success in my new role whilst continuing to provide the excellent services and programmes our clients and vendors deserve."

Butters said: "I am very pleased to be joining the board and I look forward to playing a part in the continued development and growth of VIP UK, supporting our teams, our valued vendor partners and most importantly our customers."

The business posted a 40 per cent increase in revenue for the last financial year, it claims, and has welcomed more than 20 new recruits to the business over the last 12 months.

"Our leadership team and our wider VIP family have shown great resilience and resourcefulness over what has been a challenging 12 plus months across the globe," VIP Chairman, Jatti Sahni said.

"As such, expanding the board is hugely significant as we plan for the next phase of our business' growth".
