Saepio has been acquired by a dynamic duo of tech pros who have taken the helm as co-CEOs to spearhead growth in Europe.

The cybersecurity specialist tells CRN it has found the "right" investors after a "lengthy process" to grow and build its brand, with Amir Nooriala and Daniel Cardenas-Clark, tag teaming as co-CEOs.

Saepio founders Rob Pooley and Andy Pitt remain as significant shareholders and board members of the business.

Nooriala was most recently CRO and COO at UK tech unicorns, Callsign and Oaknorth Bank.

Cardenas-Clark, an investor and board member, recently saw former portfolio company, financial data provider, Credit Kudos, acquired by Apple.

"Daniel and I have long-admired what Rob, Andy and the team have built at Saepio. We see strong synergy between all our skill sets and experience, which will enable Saepio to achieve its full potential on an international scale, without any compromise to the industry leading level of support clients currently receive," said Nooriala.

Founded in 2016 by former Softcat veterans Pooley and Pitt, the CrowdStrike and Rapid7 partner has grown to more than 60 staff and has serviced over 700 clients across the UK.

Saepio's management team plans to continue in their existing roles, working with the new CEOs to accelerate the High Wycombe-based company's mission to become Europe's leading cybersecurity partner.

"This marks the next phase of our evolution and growth. When Andy and I first started Saepio, our goal was to establish ourselves as the UK's leading cybersecurity partner," Pooley says.

"Since then, our ambition has grown with demand for our specialist service. This notable investment is not to change Saepio, it's far from broken, it's about impetus and will enable us to turbocharge our current growth trajectory, pushing our mission beyond the UK. We are incredibly excited to welcome Amir and Daniel to the team."

New managed cybersecurity service

Alongside its new leadership, Saepio also unveils its shiny new managed cybersecurity service, M-CISO.

Driven by client demand, M-CISO provides customers with access to certified security leaders and tailored real-time security dashboards to enable continuous cyber risk management.

Saepio describes its new service as an overall managed cybersecurity leadership layer, which also aligns with the cyber inequality gap that WEF identified in their 2024 report.
