The Mega Memory Watch is just that: a watch that comes complete with a fixed amount of internal flash memory.
The product range includes 32MB, 64MB and 128MB models off the shelf, with 256MB and 512MB models available on special order.
As a watch it's pretty basic, simply being able to tell the time. But it is water-resistant and shockproof as well.
Hidden away in the strap is a small USB cable for plugging the device into your PC. An included extension cable of about 2ft in length means you don't need to remove the watch.
Unless you are running Windows 98 or Me you can begin using the watch immediately. Otherwise, simply install the included driver and the device is ready.
Security features let you partition the drive into public and private areas, with the private area password-protected.
This requires the installation of a bundled utility, U-Storage, but it's no hassle. When a private area is created the set-up file for U-Storage is automatically stored in the public area so that you can use the private area on any PC.
Businesses can even order the device with their company logo printed onto the watch face.
32MB USB drives can be purchased for around £25, so the Mega Memory watch is perhaps a little expensive. But if you are in the market for both items it may be worth considering, if only for the novelty value and the fact that it is hard to lose a device that it is strapped to your wrist.
