LG launches KF510 slider phone

Early start on Mobile World Congress

Written by Ian Williams

LG has unveiled the latest addition to its range of touch screen mobile phones, the KF510, which will debut at next week's GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The slider phone will be available in Stardust Dark Gray or Sunset Red, sporting tempered glass and a metal frame 10.9mm thick.

The KF510 boasts a user interface based on LG's touch technology, as well as a 3-megapixel camera and MP3 player.

It will be available worldwide, starting in major global markets in March 2008 and is expected to cost between $300 and $350 each depending on region.

The launch forms part of LG's mobile push in Europe, following the announcement of a sales target of more than 13.5 million units for 2008, which represents a 38 per cent increase in sales across the region.
