Sales and Marketing Awards launch TODAY

It is once again time to start sharing your success stories as the entry process for the 2019 awards officially opens

With the promise of snow bombs and icy blasts set to hit the UK in the coming days, we are definitely thinking ahead to the summer when the CRN Sales and Marketing awards will be held to celebrate another year of success and achievement in the industry.

Launching today, the SMAs as they are known internally, are all about highlighting success of both individuals and teams within the remit of channel sales or marketing, or both.

This year they are taking place on 4 July in central London and the deadline for entry is Friday 29 March at 5pm.

As expected, we have tweaked some of the categories and added some exciting new ones to give as many companies as possible the chance to shout about their achievements.

Notably, and for the first time with these awards, we have a category that is nominated purely by the industry.

The ‘Manager of the Year' is up for grabs in vendor, reseller and distributor categories, and is your chance to nominate a manager that has gone above and beyond the call of duty, and who makes coming to work a pleasure.

The judges do not decide this one, instead we need your nominations for these specific awards, and the person who receives the most nominations will take home the trophy.

We have also added Best Graduate and/or Apprenticeship Scheme to both the vendor and distributor categories. With continuing concern over the skills gap, it is important that everyone gets a chance to show what they are doing to encourage the next generation into the industry.

The awards are free to enter as always, but please do read the criteria thoroughly before entering - each one has been designed to help you create an entry that appeals to the judges and will score points.

With any format of entry though, please bear in mind the 1,000-word count, and if you are submitting a video - we ask that it is no longer than FIVE MINUTES.

Another judges' pet hate is multiple attachments, so please include everything you need to in the entry itself.

A level playing field is very important to the judges, and we want to judge each entry on merit, rather than deducting points for entries that fail to follow the basic rules.

We have created a special hub for the awards again this year, which will be regularly updated with helpful articles to guide you over entry writing and explain about the awards. There is also a dedicated website with all the information you need about the event itself.

Best of luck and we look forward to receiving your entries! To enter, click here.
