Calling all management heroes
Do you have what it takes to win a brand new Manager of the Year award at the CRN Sales and Marketing Awards?
This year's Sales and Marketing Awards (SMAs) have an extra special type of gong in each sub-category this year - one that is nominated solely by the channel.
Do you have a manager that you feel has gone the extra mile to help you or one of your colleagues?
Are you an exceptional manager who has achieved staggering results from your team since you took the helm?
Then you really should either be entering the brand new 'Manager of the Year' award, getting people to nominate you, or nominating those that you feel deserve the recognition.
There is an option for Resellers, Vendors and Distributors to take part, so there is no excuse not to make someone's year by nominating them for this award.
It also doesn't have to be just someone on your own team - if you work at a reseller, and see exceptional management skills from someone in distribution or at your vendor partners, then nominate them too.
There is no limit to how many people can be nominated, but they must be management level, either board level, CEO/managing director or team/division leaders.
How do you enter?
All we ask is that you enter their name and a short 150 word paragraph on the dedicated awards website about why they deserve to win. Those with the most nominations will win the award at the end of the day.
Sara Yirrell, who coordinates the SMA judging panel, said this type of award really does depend on how motivated people are to nominate potential winners.
"If there are no nominations, then sadly there will be no winners, and the aim is to get as many nominations for the same person as possible to ensure a stand-out winner," she explained. "We hear such great stories throughout the year about people who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to keep their staff happy and achieve results. We hope their colleagues and business partners will all nominate them, and give them a chance to be recognised for their achievements."
