An important message from CRN about the eagerly awaited Channel Awards 2020

The team at CRN are delighted to announce that the 2020 CRN Awards are finally launching today.

After months of uncertainty we are determined to give the channel the end of year celebration of success that it deserves.

As usual we've got a fantastic theme lined-up as this year we are looking (back) to the future. Watch this space!

We continue to keep a close eye on the running of physical events, and while November is a long-way off, we acknowledge that the awards will feel and look slightly different this year. That is why, as we launch, it is vital to stress that whatever happens, the 2020 Channel Awards will be fully inclusive - whether entrants prefer a virtual or a physical approach to celebrating success - both will be catered for in this year's awards.

Above all, this year the Awards will be fun with a capital ‘F'. We have lots of exciting ideas up our collective sleeves.

Unsurprisingly, we have included some new categories for this year only that are dedicated to initiatives carried out during the Covid-19 lockdown, and also some personal awards for individual or team heroes who went above and beyond the call of duty during these difficult times.

The full list of categories can be found here, and we will be telling you more about them in the coming weeks, including the six very special, and one-off categories that celebrate channel achievements during the Covid-19 pandemic.  We also have some Top Tips for you to read to help craft that winning entry.

We hope that you will all consider submitting an entry this year - these awards are such an important part of the channel's social calendar that it is our duty to keep them going in this, the most challenging of years.

If you do have any questions, then please do not hesitate to ask one of the Awards team - we are all here to help and support.

The deadline for entries is Monday 10 August, and all entries will go before two judging panels as normal, apart from the ‘Editor's Choice' categories which are either voted for or chosen by the editorial team.

The winners will be announced in November.

The very best of luck and stay tuned to the Channel Awards editorial hub and dedicated site - we will be keeping you updated regularly as things develop.

To submit your entry - please click here. Best of luck! Remember, the deadline is 10 August.
