Reacting to feedback from resellers and CRN Foundation advisers, CRN has integrated new features and sections within the newspaper such as storage, security, credit and finance to reflect the changing opportunities in the market.

Today, CRN is pleased to announce the launch of a new dedicated section of the newspaper, called Voice and Data.

The new section is the culmination of many months of research. We have also conducted round-table debates into this important sector of the market.

One of these was held at the Computer Trade Show last week in Birmingham. Focusing on who looks set to win business in this lucrative sector of the market, CRN's debate was open to traditional comms dealers as well as data VARs and will soon appear in the Voice and Data section.

As well as debates, Voice and Data will offer dedicated news, reviews, research and analysis into this important market segment.

Although the convergence of voice and data has been talked about for many years, conventional wisdom agrees that the technology has only recently become mature enough to be a suitable channel product for traditional data VARs.

The good news is that, thanks to the emergence of technologies such as Voice over IP, more and more vendors, including Avaya, BT, Nortel, Cisco and Mitel, are looking to their traditional data channels to add voice to their portfolios.
