I'm with stupid

I was intrigued (and more than just a little amused) to learn that a local councillor could face official rebuke for a spot of online "religion" bashing.

John Dixon, a Lib Dem serving the Adamsdown ward in Cardiff, recently made a trip to London's glamorous west end, keeping his followers on Twitter abreast of developments in the big Smoke.

"I didn't know the Scientologists had a church on Tottenham Court Road, Just hurried past in case the stupid rubs off," he tweeted.

But an eagle-eyed member of the organisation, which was famously founded by author and Happy Days' actor L Ron Howard, spotted the slight and reported Dixon to the Welsh Ombudsman for Public Services.

The loose-tongued politico now faces examination from a standards and ethics committee. Worse still, without swift dianetic auditing, his engrams will continue to plague his reactive mind and keep him well away from his thetan. Doesn't sound so stupid now, eh, Dixon?
