Summer daze

The skirts are getting shorter, the days are getting longer and England have limped out of a major football tournament - it must mean summer's here.

Don't like it? Tough. To quote a much wiser man than myself, shut up and have a Solero. But, for a 24/7/365 global solutioniser like Dodgi, I'm always conscious of the deathly quiet that descends during the summer months.

So I was heartened to speak to the marketing chief at one of my vendor partners this week.

"Summer is always a bit dead," he said. "I basically don't do anything for the whole of August."

Too right - who can concentrate on work in this weather? I reckon the whole channel should get together one day a year and go down to Camber Sands.
