The urge to merge
A little birdie told me this week that one channel acquirer could be back in M&A action sooner than expected.
An onlooker claimed a rash of credit-related insolvencies could allow the company to cash in around the turn of the year. But I was assured that one high-profile VAR will not be on the shopping list.
"I don't know why anyone would want to buy them," said my in-the-know friend.
I had to agree. Personally, if I was looking to acquire, grabbing a piece of east London's thriving voice-over WiFi gateway resale market would be top of my agenda.
