Social workers

I was shocked (ahem) to read that about 40 per cent of UK employees use social networking sites to speak ill of their employer. As a big cheese, I was even more discomfited to learn that 20 per cent have denigrated their boss online.

MyJobGroup.co.uk quizzed 1,000 UK workers, finding almost 60 per cent would alter their tweets and status updates if their employer was reading. Seven in 10 revealed they knew nothing of their firm's HR or disciplinary policy on such matters.

Luckily, this isn't a problem for me, as my staff are never less than fulsome in their online comments.

Just last week, our Gord tweeted: "Overtime again - my boss is a bare chief. Dis job is swag sumtimez."
