Masking the truth
I attended a big-ticket sporting event recently, thanks to the largesse of one of Dodgi's vendor partners.
My host for the occasion is a top sponsor of the event, meaning it was corporate hospitality all the way. I was enjoying a couple of cold ones and slice of tiramisu beforehand, when I noticed all the TV screens in the well-appointed suite were adorned by some incongruously scruffy masking tape. Right where you'd normally expect to see the manufacturer's name.
I wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that the venue, and its inhabitants, have a not-insignificant sponsorship deal with one of my partner's big rivals.
Incidentally, I'd never seen rolling sports news coverage look so breathtaking; 600in screens (roughly), all in full HD. Just don't ask whose telly it is.
