Not my idea

I was shocked to read this week that an industry onlooker reckons Microsoft's 'Windows 7 was my idea' campaign has had a big hand in helping the firm get one over on old adversary Apple.

Well, I can only suppose that middle-aged, world-weary reseller owners are not the target demographic for the nauseating ads.

However, website myvouchercodes.co.uk has revealed that, between October and January, Apple machines fell from 19 to 11 per cent of all PCs sold through the site.

Managing director Mark Pearson said: "Microsoft is certainly beating Apple's cutesy approach to personal computing."

Frankly, between the 'I'm a PC' nonsense and Apple's colour-conscious iPod dancers, I've had just about enough of young, attractive people flaunting technology.

What happened to RAM, ROM and internal processors? Dodgi's next PC sales drive is being backed by some tasteful shots of well-stacked motherboards.
