More than words
I was heartened to see a swathe of technology terms were included in Oxford American Dictionary's list of 2009's top new words.
Leading the way was the social networking-inspired unfriend, a word all-too familiar to me. Netbook was another word to make the cut.
Beloved by Rupert Murdoch, beloathed by everyone else, paywall was another tech term to make the list. Less sober words to make the cut include sexting and intexticated, (shudder). Other terms gaining popularity include tramp stamp, ecotown, deleb, zombie bank, birther and, (oh God, really?) funemployed.
I've made it my mission to sneak all 11 into my next client meeting.
