Self-surveys

I was intrigued to learn this week that us Brits have the lowest amount of customer loyalty in Europe - almost half as much as our German cousins.

A "study" by ATM and (operative word alert), self-service specialist NCR claims more than three-fifths of UK consumers would change retailers to save cash.

The survey also claims almost three-quarters of shoppers want to be able
to complete purchases more quickly.

Not me, mind. I'd like more quality transacting time. But if only there was a solution to the concerns of 74 per cent of my countrymen!

Enter NCR chief exec Elton Birden: "Self-service technologies not only improve the shopping experience for consumers but also help to increase retailers' operational efficiencies."

I love it when a plan comes together.
