Boldly going green

Vendor HP got one in the eye last month from none other than Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner.

The actor teamed up with Greenpeace to remind the firm of its eco-responsibilities. Activists daubed the words "Hazardous Products" on the firm's building while Shatner left a telephone message for all HP employees. He asked why the company has been hitherto unable to make a "toxic-free PC". He urged them all to see if the vendor can't make a machine without brominated flame retardants.

I think Dodgi's biggest Trekkie might be hankering for a job at HP - the most famous person who's ever called our Gordon was Sanjay from Eastenders looking for a new toner cartridge.
