Antisocial networking
I was intrigued to learn this week that the head of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales has claimed social networking, texting and emails can have a "dehumanising" effect on society.
Archbishop Vincent Nichols told The Sunday Telegraph that friendship had become a commodity and warned against the dangers of youngsters forming "transient" relationships that offered no real emotional support.
He claimed a lack of face-to-face contact could harm society's people-reading skills and said he was "wary" of how MySpace and Facebook might contribute to the community.
Whateva. He's probably just narky 'cause he's only got, like, eight friends. (73 and counting for Double D to the G!)
