Quiet period

Apologies for the lack of posts but I have been off sick with a nasty virus and coming back to the office this week has been a whirlwind of madness.

With just two weeks to go before the channel awards I am getting an increasing number of phone calls from people trying to persuade me to tell them who has won and whether they should book an extra table 'just in case'.

By all means book a table - it is going to be a great night!

I can categorically say now that no matter how nice or flattering you are to me - you will not get a smidgen of information out of me, not even a hint. You are just going to have to wait and see.

As many vendors tell us journalists when we are after comment on a particularly juicy story - "We are in a quiet period".
