Here's a bandwagon, jump aboard

We at CRN always love a good bandwagon jumper, and today's example is a classic.

Friendly outsourcing and managed services specialist Outsourcery is the latest culprit - it has sent out a press release today saying that the Tube strike on Monday is going to cost the London economy £48m and yes! you've guessed it - 'sparked an interest' in ........cloud computing!

Now I know everything is based around Cloud Computing these days, but to exploit the misery of travellers to push the concept to harrassed business owners and managers is a step too far.

I think with the amount of Tube strikes that go on in this city (thanks all you wonderful Tube workers by the way - I hope you get what you deserve from your employers) most firms have made provisions for staff working from home already, and people will just leave home that little bit earlier than normal to ensure they get in.

Unfortunately for me it means there will be a lot more people on bikes riding around like idiots, but it is quite good entertainment as long as they stay out my way. It would also be worth hanging around a 'Boris bike' stand to watch the fights break out as people try and grab a bike ahead of the rush, and also try to find somewhere to dock them at the other end. Free comedy show!

Fair play to Outsourcery for coming up with this wonderfully tenuous link. It certainly made me smile today.
