Missing cat

Today is not a good day for me as my 18 year old cat has gone missing from home. She is deaf as a post and really frail - and has been missing for over 36 hours now - it doesn't bode well. I'm hoping we will have a miracle this evening and she will be on the back doorstep waiting to be fed with the other two.

There has been a lot of cat-related news around recently - mainly because of the idiotic woman who thought it would be a 'joke' to throw a cat into a wheelie bin, but was caught red handed on CCTV (there - a technology link).

What I have found fascinating is that this clip was originally posted on YouTube by the cat's owners to find out the identity of the woman (step forward bank worker Mary Bale). Nothing more. Now the video has become a global phenomenon with hate pouring out for this woman in every direction.

Luckily for Lola the cat's owners they managed to find her before something nasty happened - but the jury is still out for Mary Bale.

Before anyone asks, yes I have checked my wheelie bins for my cat - I wish it was that simple.

So if anyone happens to be in Market Harborough today and sees a very thin looking white cat wandering about - it is likely to be mine - please let me know.
