A night with Will and Cilla

I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Henley Festival yesterday evening by Westcoast where living-room favourite Will Young was performing.

After a lovely meal courtesy of The Roux Brothers (there in person) we were ushered to the 'floating stage' (it is on the water but is safely tethered to the bank!) to watch Mr Young.

We were even sharing the stand with a legend - no other than Liverpool's finest Cilla Black.
The reunion between her and a certain Mr Tatham was touching, so I hear!

When Will won Pop Idol - I was right behind him - but I have to admit my support has waned over the years. Well, we all move on.

He was very good though - and his voice is very strong, although he gave Jake Shears from the Scissor Sisters a run for his money in the camp stakes.

A certain reseller boss sitting next to me was trying to pretend he wasn't enjoying himself - but accidentally screamed like a girl when Will took his jacket off. He also sent a couple of photos allegedly to his wife, but I know they were to his own inbox. He shall remain nameless unless any other resellers there on the night care to reveal his identity! (aha - revenge is sweet!)

A great evening was had by all. Thanks very much to my gracious hosts.
