G20 threats
My train was fantastically empty this morning - due I'm guessing to a combination of children being off school for Easter (they are always on holiday!) and fear of being caught up in the predicted G20 protests.
When mass hysteria builds over a period of days and everybody stays away from London in their droves it is brilliant for us regular commuters because we actually get a seat on the train.
We are expecting a bit of trouble near our offices on Wednesday and Thursday apparently - but apart from that the focus will be on Docklands and around the Bank of England. So not a great place to be if you can help it.
I'm pretty glad I don't work in banking - although the people that have contributed to this mess won't be anywhere near central London anyway - they will be too busy spending their fat bonuses and pension payouts.
It is sadly the little people, who have played no part in any of the financial mess we are in, that will be the most affected. As usual.
I hope nobody gets hurt, and that the protesters get their point across in the best possible way. Without any violence.
