More doom and gloom

Just when you think things couldn't get any worse - the IMF is predicting that the recession is going to last the longest in the UK, Sky News has reported. According to the IMF report other economies will start to recover, but the UK will not start emerging from the downturn until at least 2010.

Why is that I wonder?

Obviously the Opposition has jumped in and blamed the government - but where else does the blame lie? When things go wrong it is those at the top that should shoulder the blame - unless you happen to work in banking that is. In that case it is everyone else's fault.

We just all need to keep our chins up and ride this rough patch out together. There are still positive things happening in our industry and we need to cling onto those and show there is light at the end of that tunnel.

Plus there is always the chance that the IMF could be wrong.
